Makers of the upcoming film Love and War have released the first-look poster for actor Vicky Kaushal. The vintage-style poster shows Kaushal with a retro haircut and moustache while using an antique lighter to try and light a cigarette. Sharing the poster on social media, the actor used the caption, "Nazrein milengi, lekin hatengi nahin!" Co-star Alia Bhatt reacted to the post with fire emojis, while actor Sonam Kapoor left clapping emojis in the comments. The poster also confirmed that Love and War will release in theatres on January 21, 2027. This release follows the earlier first-look reveals for the film's other lead actors. Ranbir Kapoor's poster on Thursday featured him in a vintage sports car with a bullet wound on his arm, while Alia Bhatt's poster on Friday showed her dressed in red in a setting that recalled 1960s and 1970s retro cabaret songs. First announced in January 2024, Love and War brings together real-life couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor for the second time after Brahmastra. While Bhatt previously starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi and Kapoor featured in his Saawariya, this project marks the first time Vicky Kaushal is working with the filmmaker. Kaushal's previous release was Chhaava, which became one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. Industry reports indicate Love and War is made on a budget of Rs 425 crore. A report by Variety India from a few months ago stated that the three lead actors have not taken a fee for the project. That same report noted the film has secured a Rs 130 crore deal with Netflix alongside Rs 70 to 80 crore from music and satellite rights.
