The suspects arrested for attacking actor Tiger Shroff originally planned to target Aamir Khan based on orders linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police sources revealed that the alleged shooters arrived in Mumbai from Haryana on September 20 and stayed at a lodge in Bandra East near Khan's home. They kept watch on his residence at least three times over a month-long period. The suspects abandoned this plan because Khan was frequently away on film shoots or stayed indoors for days without stepping out.

Target Shift

With Khan proving too difficult to access, the attackers changed their focus toward Tiger Shroff by the end of September. The accused individuals moved from Bandra to Andheri to get closer to Pushpa Narsee Park, where Shroff regularly played football on Sundays. Police investigations showed the suspects rented a cab for three thousand rupees to scout actor homes in both areas and changed hotels three times in Andheri before staying at the R R Residency Hotel from October 14 to October 18. Investigators stated that Shroff was chosen because he was far more accessible, leading to the attack at the Juhu park on October 18.

Background And Threats

Police sources connected the plot against Aamir Khan to threats he received in July over his marriage to Gauri Spratt. An audio clip and social media screenshot shared in July featured a person named Arzoo Bishnoi condemning the marriage as going against the nation and Sanatan Dharma, warning of a quick response. Khan later clarified in an interview that Spratt is a Catholic and neither of his two former wives converted to Islam. Meanwhile, the gang's long-standing primary target since 2018, Salman Khan, remained protected by heavy security, leaving Aamir Khan as the main realistic target before the shift to Shroff.

Context

Organized criminal syndicates frequently target high-profile film personalities in major metropolitan areas to gain widespread public attention and exert influence. Law enforcement agencies track these threat networks across state borders, moving from Haryana to Maharashtra in this instance, to intercept planned attacks. Investigations into such high-profile security breaches rely heavily on tracking suspects' movements, hotel stays, and local reconnaissance patterns.
