Bollywood is celebrating its annual Diwali party season with a packed calendar of star-studded events running through late October and November. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap started the celebrations by hosting a bash at their Mumbai home on Friday. That opening gathering saw attendance from filmmaker Karan Johar, actors Sara Ali Khan and Twinkle Khanna, and producer Bhushan Kumar, among others.

Security and Press Updates

Security concerns have tightened following a recent firing incident that targeted actor Tiger Shroff. Because of this, paparazzi were not invited to cover the Khurrana-Kashyap party. Photographer Pallav Paliwal confirms that media members were also asked to bring their Aadhaar cards for entry at a recent major awards event. Paliwal notes that this security check is a good move and will likely continue at upcoming Diwali parties, though photographers have only received word about Manish Malhotra's party so far.

Party Schedule

The festive calendar features several high-profile gatherings over the coming weeks. Producer Anand Pandit will host a bash on October 30 with Kriti Sanon and Sidharth Malhotra expected to attend, while Kriti Sanon may also host her own party on an unconfirmed date. Producer Ramesh Taurani has a party scheduled for November 2, though regular attendee Salman Khan may miss it. Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna will host a celebration on November 3. Designer Manish Malhotra has a star-studded bash planned for November 5 that is expected to draw a large crowd. Producer Ektaa R Kapoor will host her event on November 7, and actor Yuvika Chaudhary is also planning a party on an unconfirmed date.

Changes and Cancellations

Not all industry regulars are hosting celebrations this year. Actor Dia Mirza Rekhi, who held an intimate gathering last year, has decided not to throw a party this time. Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, who hosted a Diwali bash in 2025, also confirms he will not host an event this year.

Context

Bollywood Diwali parties are a staple of the industry social calendar, bringing together top actors, directors, and producers for high-profile networking and celebrations. These events often draw massive public and media attention, making crowd control and venue security major priorities for hosts and organizers. Industry gatherings of this scale require careful coordination between celebrity PR teams and local security personnel to manage large guest lists.
