Mahindra has registered a new front grille design for the upcoming Scorpio N facelift. The patent images show a wide grille with layered horizontal elements, building on earlier spy shots of a camouflaged test mule spotted earlier this month.
Grille Design
The most noticeable feature is the mix of horizontal bars and shorter rectangular parts across the grille. Vertical supports sit behind these sections to create a layered pattern inside a broad outer frame. The grille has a slightly raised top edge, angled sides, and rounded bottom corners. A main central panel narrows at the bottom to hold the Mahindra Twin Peaks logo seen on the Lifestyler Pickup. A small circular spot near the bottom of this central panel appears to be a space for a front camera.
Styling Changes
Earlier spy shots showed a heavily disguised front end with temporary circular headlamps that hid the final production lights. The doors, window line, and upright body shape stayed the same as the current Scorpio N. This suggests the biggest exterior updates will happen at the front. The new grille drawings give a clear look at one part of this redesign. These drawings also bring back comparisons to the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup. Mahindra's design chief previously stated that the pickup style would influence the Scorpio N and other Scorpio family members. The Lifestyler showed a wider front look, slim lights, and a big bumper. The new grille's horizontal focus fits that direction while keeping the SUV's own identity. Inside, the Lifestyler cabin could also inspire updates like a portrait-oriented touchscreen and a new dashboard. A larger infotainment display, revised instrument cluster, and updated interior details are possible for the facelift.
Launch Plans
The Scorpio N facelift is expected to arrive in 2027. The current 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are likely to stay. Manual and automatic gearbox choices along with diesel four-wheel-drive options are also expected to continue.
