Actor Kriti Sanon chose to focus on women's safety rather than a typical celebration for Daughters Day by highlighting the everyday fear women face in public spaces. In her social media post, the Do Patti actor asked parents to imagine their daughter calling to say she is being followed by men, walking home alone at night while looking over her shoulder, or having her phone die before reaching home.
Daily Precautions
Sanon pointed out how women must plan their daily routines around safety measures like sharing live locations, carrying pepper spray, booking cabs instead of walking, or calling someone on the phone just to feel secure. She stated that true celebration will only happen when a daughter can walk home alone at night, sit in a park after dark, wear whatever she wants, use public transport without fear, or simply exist in a public space without calculating the risk of assault. She dedicated her message to every daughter who calls home to say she has reached safely, expressing hope for a world where such calls are no longer necessary.
Recent Work
On the professional front, Sanon was last seen in Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
