Anil Kapoor shares the pre-marriage condition set by his wife Sunita

Actor Anil Kapoor shared that his wife Sunita set a clear condition before their marriage that she would not enter the kitchen. While hosting the game-based reality show India Ke Top 1 Percent on Star Plus and Jio Hotstar, Kapoor spoke with a contestant who wanted to avoid household chores. This conversation led Kapoor to recall how Sunita refused to cook after marriage, which pushed him to work harder to become successful enough to hire help and honour her wish. To this day, Sunita has not entered the kitchen. Kapoor and Sunita were together for 53 years, including 42 years of marriage and nearly 11 years of dating before their wedding. Their relationship began in 1973 through a prank call when Sunita was a successful model. During their years of dating while Kapoor was still struggling in the film industry, Sunita was financially independent and often supported him by paying restaurant bills. In May, Kapoor shared on Instagram that their wedding was simple, lasting about thirty minutes with no honeymoon or fanfare, attended only by parents and close family.
