Why She Kept It Secret

Actor Taapsee Pannu recently opened up about why she chose to keep her wedding to Danish badminton player Mathias Boe a quiet, private affair. Married for almost three years now, Taapsee has not released any official pictures or videos from the ceremony. She stated that she has always kept her personal and professional lives apart and feels it is weird to put out a press note or a media deck for a wedding. The actor added that everyone who knew them personally attended the event, and guests were given edited videos of all ceremonies within 24 hours with a request not to post them online, a rule which most respected.

The Leaked Video

Only one video leaked from the wedding festivities held in Udaipur. Taapsee called the incident very embarrassing and explained that it happened because of a guest invited by family members rather than the couple themselves. While she did not take away guests' phones, calling that childish, she spoke directly to the person responsible. She also clarified that the guest who leaked the video was not from the film industry, noting that people from the film world know her private nature and would not dare post such content.

Protecting Family and Husband

Taapsee shared that her decision was driven by a desire to shield her husband and wedding guests from public scrutiny. She noted that Mathias Boe is a sports star whose personal life does not attract the same crazy attention as hers in this part of the world, meaning he and their families did not sign up for public media attention. Furthermore, she joked about her vidaai ceremony, mentioning that Mathias actually spends more time in India with her than in Denmark, so his family should realize it was his vidaai instead. The couple has been dating since 2013, the same year Taapsee debuted in Bollywood with David Dhawan's buddy comedy Chashme Baddoor, and celebrated 13 years together built on an extreme sense of security and mutual respect.
