Pricing And Production
When first revealed in March 2025, deliveries for the Tesseract were slated to start at Rs 1.20 lakh, but the price has now risen to Rs 1.45 lakh. Similarly, the Shockwave was originally announced at an introductory price of Rs 1.50 lakh for the first 1,000 buyers before moving to Rs 1.75 lakh, ex-showroom Bengaluru. Manufacturing for the Shockwave is currently underway at the company's existing facility in Hosur, and the motorcycle will be sold in both single- and dual-seat setups. Narayan Subramaniam, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ultraviolette, stated that the technical shift is a major step in realizing their electric vehicle vision.
Context
Vehicle architectures in electric mobility dictate how efficiently power flows from the battery pack to the motor, with higher voltage systems generally allowing for faster charging and better thermal management. Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette previously used a 60V setup for its F77 performance motorcycle before developing this new platform for its newer lightweight models. All stated prices in the announcement refer to ex-showroom figures in Bengaluru, while final production specifications remain subject to change closer to the market release.
