Police raided an illegal synthetic milk factory run by two brothers in Dungarkhedi village within the Shamgarh police station area of Mandsaur district.

Raid And Seizures

Officers arrived at the New Abadi house belonging to brothers Krishnapal and Shivpal, though both suspects had already escaped from the spot before the team got there. Inside, authorities recovered six bags of Paras brand milk powder, forty liters of chemical, forty liters of ready-made fake milk, five tins of palm oil, a two-thousand-liter capacity milk tank, a weighing scale, a fridge, and a motor. According to India TV Hindi, police also found mixer equipment and urea fertilizer at the scene, and noted that the brothers had previously sold over a thousand liters of mixed synthetic milk in the market.

Official Action

SDOP Dinesh Prajapati, station house officer Kapil Sourashtriya, and outpost in-charge Manoj Mahajan led the police operation on site. District food officer Dheeraj Singh Jadoun and Naib Tehsildar Bhim Singh Kharadi reached the location after being informed by the police, and a food department team collected samples to send for laboratory testing.

Past Cases

This marks the second major raid in Dungarkhedi within forty days, following an earlier sampling by the food safety department whose report has not yet been made public. Similar illicit operations have surfaced in the Garoth and Shamgarh regions previously, including an April 8 raid in Kotrabujurg village where police seized fifteen hundred liters of synthetic milk and arrested a man named Pawan ΰ€—ΰ₯ΰ€°ΰ₯ΰ€œΰ€°, and an April 12 raid in Chachavda Chowkatiya where a thousand liters of thick fake milk and a lab were caught under operator Manish.

Context

Food safety authorities often face criticism for slow follow-up action and delayed test reports when illegal manufacturing units are uncovered. Local administration and police regularly step in to curb dangerous food adulteration practices that pose severe public health risks, especially as demand rises around festive periods.
