The new movie Aadarsha Kutumbam brings together writer-director Trivikram Srinivas and actor Venkatesh after a gap of twenty-five years, resulting in a project that shines in its comedic first half but struggles after shifting into an action thriller. Venkatesh stars as Chittibabu alongside Srinidhi Shetty as Swarna, heading a household in House Number 47 that includes their children Sampoorna and Sharva. Financial struggles vanish overnight when the family wins a lottery jackpot and relocates from their modest dwelling to a lavish villa, only for sudden violence to shatter their peaceful existence as knives and weapons emerge.
Performances and Craft
Venkatesh anchors the project with effortless comic timing and surprising physical commitment during action sequences like a train fight and a mall set piece. Srinidhi Shetty makes her comedy debut alongside him, while Satya delivers reliable situational laughs with his wordplay. On the technical side, Ravi K Chandran provides warm cinematography for the early home scenes and a colder look for the luxury villa. SS Thaman supplies a loud background score and forgettable songs across the one hundred forty-nine minute runtime, while Navin Nooli edits the project with a tight rhythm early on that loosens in the later portions.
Context
Many Indian commercial entertainers frequently blend lighthearted domestic humor with high-stakes action to appeal to broad theatrical audiences. However, balancing two very different genres within a single narrative often poses a challenge for filmmakers when the emotional buildup for the action does not match the warmth of the opening comedy.
