Ananth Technologies supplied critical avionics, electronics, and spacecraft subsystems for the GSLV-F18 mission that placed the NVS-03 navigation satellite into orbit. The Hyderabad-headquartered company operates advanced facilities in Bengaluru for satellite assembly, integration, and testing. It also runs a plant in Thiruvananthapuram for the fabrication, assembly, and testing of launch vehicle subsystems. For the GSLV-F18 launch vehicle, the firm provided 46 packages that covered key functions like telemetry, data acquisition, navigation guidance and control, power management, relay units, structural monitoring, actuator control, and transponders. On the spacecraft side, it contributed nine systems to the NVS-03 satellite, including power-management packages, various DC-DC converters, star sensors, and attitude and orbit control systems. ATL Chairman Subba Rao Pavuluri said the successful launch is another important milestone in India's space programme and shows the country's commitment to building indigenous space capabilities. He added that the company looks forward to contributing to future space missions.
Context
Private companies in India increasingly build vital parts for national space missions, helping reduce reliance on foreign components. These partnerships support the growing domestic space manufacturing sector by building high-tech assembly and testing facilities across cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.
