Singer Mika Singh questions Diljit Dosanjh over Bollywood film promotions

Singer Mika Singh has questioned fellow Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh for not promoting his Bollywood projects while giving more visibility to his other films.

Promotion Debate

In an interview with Times Now, Mika said he is proud of Diljit's success and achievements as a turbaned artist following Daler Mehndi. However, Mika claimed that Diljit did not promote his film Border 2 or thank co-star Sunny Deol. Mika stated that Diljit only made one post about his film featuring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, while ignoring Sardaar Ji 3 co-star Neeru Bajwa and Bollywood projects like Main Vaapas Aaunga. Records show Diljit did share promotional material for Border 2, including his first look in December 2025 and trailers.

Past Support And Ties

Mika also recalled supporting Diljit when he faced criticism from Khalistani groups, calling him a proud Sardar boy who takes Punjabi music higher. Mika shared memories of Diljit visiting him in his early days to eat butter chicken and utilizing his Lokhandwala recording studio through manager Sonali.

Context

Mika Singh also defended his own past performance in Karachi in 2019, stating he travelled with a valid visa before relations changed and noting the presence of Sikh religious sites like Nankana Sahib in Pakistan.
