Audi has launched the third-generation 2026 Q3 in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs 51.99 lakh, and vehicle deliveries have already begun. The new entry-level luxury SUV is assembled at the company plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, and is sold in two trims named Nova and Zenith.

Exterior And Design

The vehicle features a completely redesigned exterior with split-style headlights, placing LED daytime running lights at the top and digital Matrix LED headlights on the bumper complete with washers. These headlights can project important driver assistance data directly onto the road. The front also features a large grille with honeycomb mesh and matching lower air intakes. Along the sides, the SUV is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels featuring self-centring hubcaps, a chrome windowline, slim roof rails, and slightly flared wheel arches. The rear end includes split LED taillights connected by a light bar, an illuminated brand logo, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a rear wiper with washer.

Interior And Features

Inside the cabin, the dashboard is styled with a minimalistic look and houses two curved digital displays consisting of a 12.8-inch touchscreen for infotainment and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. It includes a 4-spoke hexagonal steering wheel with touch controls, where the right stalk acts as a drive selector and the left stalk manages the headlights and turn signals. Moving the drive selector to the steering column leaves the centre console uncluttered, housing a wireless phone charger, two cupholders, an electronic parking brake, and an armrest. The cabin is equipped with leatherette upholstery, powered and heated front seats with a driver memory function linked to the side mirrors, 3-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker Sonos sound system, a coloured head-up display, and a powered tailgate. Safety equipment comprises nine airbags, a rear parking camera, hill hold and hill climb assists, and an advanced driver assistance systems suite.

Engine And Performance

Under the hood, the vehicle runs on a 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine that generates 204 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. This motor pairs with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive setup, which is unique to this segment since competitors like the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA offer only front-wheel-drive. The setup allows the car to accelerate from zero to 100 kph in a claimed 7.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 229 kph.

Context

Luxury automotive brands frequently assemble their volume-selling entry models locally in India to optimize pricing and compete effectively in the domestic market. Offering all-wheel-drive capability gives this model a distinct performance advantage over front-wheel-drive competitors in its class.
