Mumbai Police Identify Suspects in Tiger Shroff Firing Case as Arrests Loom

Mumbai Police have named specific suspects following the armed attack on film actor Tiger Shroff in Juhu, with state leadership promising swift detentions. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated on Monday, October 19, that law enforcement teams have gathered solid leads and are working closely with external administrations and federal authorities to apprehend those behind the shooting.

The Incident

The shooting occurred on the evening of Sunday, October 18, as the actor drove back from a football match near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu. Unidentified attackers on a motorcycle pulled up and shot multiple times at his automobile. While the actor avoided direct bullet strikes, flying glass caused cuts on his chest and arm. His driver, named Firdosh, took a bullet in his left arm, and an autorickshaw driver nearby also suffered injuries. Both injured men received medical care at Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle and remained in stable condition.

Police Action

Officers filed a formal police report against three unknown culprits under specific provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. To solve the case, Mumbai Police deployed fifteen specialized squads to check camera footage, follow the path of the attackers, and collect physical proof. Detectives are additionally reviewing unconfirmed online posts connecting the event to the Lawrence Bishnoi group, though this link remains unproven. Following the attack, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde went to the actor's home late Sunday night to see how he was doing.

Context

High-profile security incidents involving public figures often trigger large-scale police deployments and inter-state coordination to track down organized criminal networks operating across regional borders. Such investigations typically rely heavily on electronic surveillance, closed-circuit camera networks, and intelligence sharing between local forces and national agencies.
