Katrina Kaif was bombarded with trolling comments after she appeared at the Ambani family’s Ganapati puja in Mumbai. The criticism came despite her giving birth to son Vihaan in November 2025, less than a year earlier. Trolls focused on her weight gain after the first baby. Bollywood stars including Hrithik Roshan, Parineeti Chopra and Salman Khan voiced support, calling the online abuse unacceptable. Salman Khan addressed the trolls on the “Weekend Ka Vaar” episode of Bigg Boss 20, saying pregnancy‑related weight gain is normal and that Kaif will regain fitness when she returns to films. He added that she should be allowed to spend time with her family and questioned why anonymous users criticize others while being unhappy with their own looks. Actress Sameera Reddy posted an Instagram reel of herself enjoying calm weather and wrote, “Whether you are a well known personality, a young teen finding her way, a new mama, a woman seen years of judgement… your body listens and needs you to love it back ❤️ CURVY‑Beautiful‑luscious YOU.” She added the hashtags #imperfectlyperfect and #bodypositivity. Earlier, speaking to NDTV, Reddy said women in the industry face harsh scrutiny and praised Kaif’s work as an entrepreneur, calling the trolls “petty”. The backlash has highlighted the broader issue of body‑shaming on social media, prompting several celebrities to defend Kaif and promote body‑positive messages.
