Actor Ayushmann Khurrana stars as a Pakistani spy with memory loss in the new film Udta Teer, which had its trailer launch on Wednesday, September 24. In the movie, his character Bilal Ahmed forgets his country of origin after losing his memory and begins to think he is an Indian, creating a situational comedy. When asked at the launch event if it was hard to chant 'Pakistan Zindabad' for the role, Khurrana stated that he simply follows what the script requires. He noted that such elements occur in all spy films, describing the project as a spy comedy, patriotic comedy, and genre bender that relies on a fantastic script by the director. Sara Ali Khan stars opposite Khurrana in the film, and she shared that they shot Udta Teer before working together on Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. She expressed excitement about sharing vastly different on-screen dynamics with the same actor across both projects, noting that she plays a character named Tehelka in one film and a wife in this one. Khurrana also praised his co-star, stating that she brings wonderful energy to the set. Udta Teer marks the directorial debut of writer Akash A Kaushik. The ensemble cast features Mukul Dev, Gulshan Grover, Ram Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Smita Tambe, Brijendra Kala, and Sandeep Anand. Produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 9.
