Makers Unveil Ranbir Kapoor's First Look in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War

Makers of the upcoming period drama Love and War have released the first look poster of lead actor Ranbir Kapoor on Instagram, showing an injured actor driving a car while bleeding. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is slated for a worldwide release on 21st January 2027 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, and features Ranbir Kapoor alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The poster caption shared by the makers reads, "Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!" Fans reacted strongly to the intense vibe, leaving comments praising the look. The movie has been in production since 2024 and carries a reported budget of Rs 425 crores. Reports indicate that the lead actors have skipped upfront fees, while the film has secured a Rs 130 crore deal with Netflix alongside Rs 70 to 80 crores from music and satellite rights. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly spoke about working on a special non-song piece with Ranbir and Alia, praising Bhansali's creative involvement. This project reunites Ranbir Kapoor with Bhansali nearly two decades after his debut film Saawariya. It also pairs Alia Bhatt with the director again following their 2022 film Gangubai Kathiawadi, while marking the first collaboration between Bhansali and Vicky Kaushal.
