A dedicated steering committee will manage the Women's World Car of the Year as an adjunct to the main awards. Organizers plan to collaborate with current and former jurors from both groups to shape the 2027 edition using established World Car Awards processes. Beth Rhind, who serves as co-founder and executive vice-president for the World Car Awards, stated that the organization values past efforts by the team and aims to build a strong program focused on giving visibility to women in the auto industry and making their voices heard globally. Future details regarding the 2027 jurors, categories, and timeline will be released later. The World Car Awards group was established in 2004 and includes 98 auto journalists, featuring Autocar India editor-in-chief Hormazd Sorabjee. Its 2026 title went to the BMW iX3. Meanwhile, the Women's Worldwide Car of the Year started in 2009 with 86 women jurors, including Autocar India team members Renuka Kirpalani and Mugdha Mishra. The Nissan Leaf took the overall winner spot for the 2026 edition of those awards.
