Suzuki Motorcycle India introduced the Hayabusa Special Edition at an ex‑showroom price of Rs 19.90 lakh in Delhi, while the updated standard Hayabusa is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh. The premium model costs Rs 91,000 more than the base version and is now sold at all Suzuki dealerships across the country. The Special Edition is finished in exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue, fitted with unique decals, a special‑treated wheel, a three‑dimensional Suzuki logo and a dedicated emblem on the fuel tank. Anodised muffler ends, heat‑guard pieces and a single‑seat cowl are standard, giving the bike a sharper look without altering its classic silhouette. The regular Hayabusa gains three new paint schemes: Candy Daring Red paired with Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Galaxy Gray with Candy Burnt Gold, and Pearl Vigor Blue matched with Pearl Brilliant White. These options expand the colour range while the bike’s design stays unchanged. Both models now house the lighter, more compact ELIIY Power lithium‑ion battery that delivers steadier voltage under load. Revised settings improve the Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector. Smart Cruise Control has been tweaked to remain engaged during gear changes, so riders no longer need to hold the throttle to keep speed. Existing rider‑aid features such as Motion Track Traction Control, bi‑directional quickshifter, Easy Start, Low RPM Assist and Slope Dependent Control are retained. Power comes from the 1,340 cc fuel‑injected, liquid‑cooled inline‑four DOHC engine, known for broad torque and strong acceleration. The exhaust note has been tuned through Suzuki’s Exhaust Sound Quality Evaluation Program for a punchy start without excessive noise. The chassis includes a twin‑spar aluminium frame, adjustable KYB inverted front forks, Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tyres and Brembo Stylema calipers with twin 320 mm floating discs. Wind‑tunnel testing ensures wind protection in both upright and fully tucked riding positions, and LED lighting completes the equipment list. Suzuki Genuine Accessories and Hayabusa‑branded apparel are also available. ## Context The Hayabusa’s update follows a trend of Indian manufacturers adding premium variants and electronic refinements to keep pace with global sport‑bike standards while catering to local buyers seeking exclusive styling.
