Ranbir Kapoor Appears in Bloodied First Look for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War

Fans got their first official look at Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming period drama Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The official Instagram handle of Bhansali Productions released the poster, showing Ranbir driving a vintage car in a white t-shirt and glasses with a short buzz cut. One hand holds the steering wheel while the other hand is bruised and bloodied. Co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt also shared the poster on their social media accounts. The film brings Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal together in lead roles for the first time in a Bhansali film. It also reunites Ranbir with the director nearly twenty years after Saawariya in 2007. The plot is mostly hidden, but reports describe the project as a period romantic war drama where Ranbir and Vicky reportedly play Indian Air Force officers whose lives connect with Alia's character. Written by Sanjay and Ila Bedi Dutta, the cast also includes Supriya Pathak. The main shoot wrapped up in September after filming across multiple schedules that began in November, with additional battle sequences shot later. Makers have taken strict steps to prevent leaks, with over 500 crew members signing non-disclosure agreements. Love & War is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2027, and will come out in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
