Actor Salman Khan addressed nepotism and contestant behaviour during a recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, focusing on Rhiti Tiwari. The discussion started after Rhiti used abusive and derogatory language against fellow contestants Uditi Singh and Qazi Touqeer during a rap diss battle in a captaincy task. Some of her words were muted on the show. Rhiti defended her remarks by calling them slang and claiming they fit the rhyme, while also telling Qazi that her father would deal with him outside the house. Salman questioned Rhiti's attitude and accused her of being insecure about Qazi's popularity, calling her the most jealous person in the house. He pointed out that her primary claim to fame was being the daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari. He also criticized her for calling herself a rockstar, contrasting her journey with Qazi's past struggles after winning the reality singing show Fame Gurukul years ago. Salman reminded Rhiti that her actions could reflect on her father, referencing an old Bigg Boss 4 incident involving Manoj Tiwari and Dolly Bindra. The conversation then shifted to the broader topic of film industry nepotism. Salman acknowledged his own entry into the industry as the son of writer Salim Khan, noting that while his father provided an opening, his own path involved modelling and different struggles. He also mentioned actors like Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Jackky, and Hrithik Roshan, noting that star kids enter with connections but must still build their own careers. He emphasized that getting an opportunity and achieving lasting success are two different things, and a father's hard work only takes a person so far before audience connection dictates their fate. Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6 with 16 contestants, including MC Mary Kom, Mahhi Vij, Amrapali Dubey, Scout OP, Qazi Touqeer, Yung DSA, and Rhiti Tiwari.
