Salman Khan spoke about the nepotism debate on the reality show Bigg Boss 20 while addressing contestant Rhiti Tiwari. He criticized Rhiti for her behaviour towards fellow contestants Uditi Singh and Qazi Touqeer. Salman pointed out that Rhiti is primarily known to the public as the daughter of Manoj Tiwari. He noted that her father is a well-known actor, singer and politician, which leads people to believe she secured a spot on the show because of him. Salman added that being a star kid would not bring her any special treatment from him and warned that her actions could reflect poorly on her father. He also remarked that while family background can give someone an entry into the film industry, it cannot guarantee long-term success. Sharing his own background, Salman mentioned that his father was a writer and the first in his family to enter the industry, which gave him an opening through modelling. He further brought up several other film personalities including Ajay Devgn, whose father Viru Devganji worked as a fighter and action director, along with Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Jackky and Hrithik Roshan. Salman explained that some star kids managed to get their first film but failed to connect with the audience and become popular, while others succeeded based on their own efforts. He concluded that a father's hard work can only bring someone up to a certain point, after which their success depends entirely on themselves.
