Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire at his car in Mumbai's Juhu area on Sunday evening. The incident took place around 7 pm as the actor was leaving Pushpa Park after a football session at a club. Three bike-borne attackers fired at least five rounds at his vehicle, injuring two people. Tiger's driver, named Firdous, sustained a gunshot injury to his left hand and minor injuries, while another staff member, Umesh Chavan, suffered a bullet injury. After his driver was injured, Tiger took over the wheel and later returned to his residence in a police jeep, escorted by police officers. Nanavati Hospital sources stated that Tiger suffered minor abrasions, was examined, and later discharged, while his injured staff members received medical treatment.
Investigation and Reactions
Following the incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met the actor at his residence. Actor Disha Patani was also seen rushing to his home, appearing distressed and ignoring the paparazzi as she arrived. Mumbai Police launched a major investigation by deploying 15 teams to track down the attackers. A forensic team visited the scene to collect ballistic evidence, inspect the vehicle, and determine the exact number of rounds fired. Police also analysed CCTV footage from surrounding locations and detained one person in Santacruz in connection with the case. Soon after the shooting, two alleged operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility on social media posts accompanied by a voice message, warning that anyone in the film industry who does not follow their rules or work with Salman Khan is next in line.
