UPDATE - follow-up to Renault Duster Hybrid review: Sets a new benchmark for hybrids: Renault has launched the new Duster Hybrid in India, priced from Rs 16.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh ex-showroom, with trims including Evolution and Emotion.
Performance And Specs
According to Rushlane, the vehicle features an E-Tech 160 powertrain utilizing a 1.8-litre, naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine paired with a 1.4kWh battery and a dog-clutch transmission. Combined output reaches 160hp with 208Nm of torque, achieving a certified fuel efficiency of 29kpl and a 0-100kph sprint in 9.6 seconds.
Cabin And Design
Exterior changes include an illuminated Duster logo, side hybrid plates, and a short exhaust. Inside, it features lighter Dune Brown leatherette upholstery to brighten the cabin, though boot space drops from 518 to 372 litres due to the under-floor battery.
Context
This competitive pricing strategy aims to rebuild consumer confidence and capture market share in the midsize SUV segment following earlier sales challenges. The vehicle comes with a standard 7-year warranty on the car and an 8-year warranty on the battery pack.
